ET Desk: To protect the country’s independence and sovereignty, fascist-aligned journalists must be immediately expelled from media houses, andxdn employment must be arranged for oppressed, unemployed journalists.
Saturday Sep 20, September 20, leaders of the Anti-Fascist Oppressed Journalists’ Forum made this call during a meeting held at the National Press Club.
The meeting was presided over by the forum’s convener, Mostafa Kamal Mojumder. Among others who spoke were the member secretary A.D.M. Saad Bin Rabi, Talukder Rumi, Sheikh Mohammad Tajul Islam, Hafizur Rahman, Badiul Alam Chowdhury, and Russell Ahmed.
It was stated at the meeting that despite repeated demands over time, the government has taken no significant action regarding the unemployed, oppressed journalists — a stance that amounts to disregarding the spirit of the July Revolution.
