Staff Reporter: Marking the “International Mother Language Day”, Uttara Public Library organized a special program at Sector 10 in Uttara, in the capital city.
An essay competition on the significance of the historic 21st February was held, where students from various schools and colleges across the capital participated. Among the participants, 40 students were awarded prizes.

The program was chaired by senior journalist and fiction writer Jamal Uddin Jamal. The chief guest was former Secretary Abubakar Md. Shahjahan. Special guest was Md. Ali Bhuiyan. The event was conducted by the founding president of the library, Md. Tarekuzzaman Khan.
