ET Desk: Bilkis Jahan Rimi has joined as the Secretary of the Department of Posts and Telecommunications. She formally submitted her joining letter to Fakir Mahbub Anam, Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and Minister of Science and Technology at the Secretariat today. At the time, the Minister congratulated the newly-joined Secretary by presenting flowers.
Earlier, on April 15, through a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration, Bilkis Jahan Rimi was transferred from the Ministry of Textiles and Jute and posted as Secretary of the Department of Posts and Telecommunications.
Bilkis Jahan Rimi, a 17th batch officer of the BCS administration cadre, is a skilled officer with long experience in administrative work. Those concerned hope that under her strong and competent leadership, the activities of the Posts and Telecommunications Department will be more dynamic and people-oriented.
