ET Desk: Padma Oil PLC, one of the leading companies in the country’s energy sector, has donated a portion of its net profit for the fiscal year 2024-2025 to the Bangladesh Workers’ Welfare Foundation. A check of Tk 37 million was handed over to Minister of Labor and Employment Ariful Haque Chowdhury on Thursday, May 14.
At the event, Minister Ariful Haque Chowdhury welcomed this initiative of Padma Oil PLC and praised the role of state-owned enterprises in the economic development of the country. He expressed the hope that this money will play an effective role in improving the living standards of the working people.
Padma Oil PLC Assistant General Manager Farid Uddin Ahmed, Padma Oil Company PLC Employees Union President Mohammad Jasim Uddin and General Secretary Md. Shahadat Hossain were present at the check handover ceremony.
