‘Hello DC’ is being launched in Dhaka District Administration for service recipients

Staff Correspondent: To alleviate the suffering of service recipients and ensure greater transparency and accountability in the administration’s activities, a new service called ‘Hello DC’ is being launched in the Dhaka District Administration. Through this, any citizen of the district can directly communicate their grievances, information and opinions to the District Administrator.

Dhaka Deputy Commissioner (DC) and District Magistrate Farida Khanam made these remarks at a meeting with media workers at the Dhaka Deputy Commissioner’s conference room on Sunday (May 17). At the event titled ‘Meeting with Media Workers’, the Deputy Commissioner described journalists as the ‘mirror of the nation’.

Calling for people to feel free to report any irregularities in the office of the District Administrator, Farida Khanam further said, “If any service recipient is harassed in any office of the Dhaka District Administration or if you come across any irregularities in the office, then you should report it fearlessly and without any hindrance. The platform we are going to launch called ‘Hello DC’ will also allow marginalized people to directly report their grievances. Based on your reports and direct information from citizens, we can take quick and effective action.”

It is worth mentioning that Farida Khanam created history by joining as the first female Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Dhaka district on April 22. His strong and people-friendly leadership at the top position of an important district has instilled new hope among the general service recipients.
