ET Desk: Habibur Rashid, Member of Parliament for Dhaka-9 constituency and Minister of Road Transport and Highways, personally inspected the Basabo-Madartek road on Friday, June 19.
During the inspection, he identified various irregularities and defects in the road construction work and directed to take necessary action against those concerned and emphasized on ensuring speedy quality and sustainable road construction to alleviate public suffering. At the same time, he instructed the contracting company not to use low-quality bricks in the construction of the said road.
He said his supervision of development work at the field level will continue to ensure public interest and accountability.
