Ambassador of Belgium to Bangladesh Didier Vanderhasselt today said that his country will cooperate in the overall development and progress of Bangladesh.He said this while paying a courtesy call on Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury at her office here, a press release said.During the meeting, they discussed various issues of interest including parliamentary alliance group, bilateral trade, economic cooperation, gender equality, women’s empowerment and sustainable development, the release added.The speaker said that through the Bangladesh-Belgium Parliamentary Friendship Group, exchange of visits by members of parliament can play an important role in the development of bilateral friendly relations, parliamentary practices and relations between the peoples of the two countries.Senior officials of the Parliament Secretariat and other ministries were also present there.
