Business Desk: Dr. Lokiat Ullah has been selected for the managing director post of

Biopharma and Bio Group, one of the top and export-oriented multinational drug manufacturing company, the unique pioneer of the pharmaceuticals industry in Bangladesh. Dr. Lokiat Ullah was nominated for the post at the company’s board meeting on Monday.

The meeting was attended by Biopharma chairman Dr. Shahab Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury, Vice Chairman Dr. Anwarul Azim, recently retired Managing Director (MD) Dr. Moha Mizanur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director Dr. Ali Ashraf Khan and Md. Saiful Amin, Executive Director Dr. Tawhid Al Beruni, BPL Housing’s newly appointed Director and Project Operations, Zahirul Haque and Dr. Ali Ashraf.

Also, senior officials of the company including CMO, CSO, GM, PMD, Head of HR, Company Secretary, Head of Training, Head of Finance, Head of Distribution, Head of IT were present.

Position and Role in Biopharma :

Dr. Lokiat Ullah is one of the founder directors and shareholders of Bio Group. Earlier, he served as Deputy Managing Director of the company. Prior to this, he earned a huge amount of foreign exchange and spread the reputation of Bangladesh worldwide in the pharmaceutical sector by building international trade with about 25 countries in his work while serving as the founder marketing director of the company.

In recognition of his special contribution to the pharmaceutical sector of Bangladesh, he has been honored with numerous awards at various times at home and abroad.

He received ‘Golden Europe for Quality Award’ for Biopharma as a manufacturer of quality products; In 2020, ‘Certificate for Appreciation’ from Colonel Dr. Md.
Zaki Mokhtar, the Commander of the Malaysian Field Hospital.

Apart from Biopharma, he is serving as director of Bio Properties, Biopharma Agrovet, Bio Natures, Bio Food and Beverage Industries and Biopharma Foundation.
