The High Court today cleared the way for a lower court to run the trial proceedings of a corruption case filed against BNS Group owner MNH Bulu.
The HC also ordered the lower court concerned to complete the trial proceedings of the case in next one year.Bulu is accused of concealing information about Tk 109 crore of his wealth and amassing properties worth about Tk 25 crore beyond known sources of incomeThe HC bench of Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Khizir Hayat Lizu passed the order after dismissing a revision petition filed by MNH Bulu challenging the lower court order that framed charges against him on January 31 in the case. Senior lawyer Md Munsurul Hoque Chowdhury appeared for Bulu, while senior Advocate Khurshid Alam Khan stood for Anti-Corruption Commission and Deputy Attorney General AKM Amin Uddin Manik represented the state during hearing of the petition.
