Deputy Leader in Parliament and Awami League Presidium Member Matia Chowdhury today said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has established women’s right in Bangladesh. “Women are working in different positions with their talent and efficiency,” she said while speaking at a discussion as the chief guest marking International Women’s Day organized by Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) at its Nasrul Hamid Auditorium here.Matia said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has created opportunities of various employments for women and she is working for the country and its people.She said the women played significant roles during any crises in the country, including the Liberation War in 1971.She also said the struggle is going for establishing women’s right. Matia Chowdhury inaugurated the function by cutting a cake. Before that, DRU leaders and activist brought out a rally.President of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) Mursalin Nomani presided over the function while Jatiya Press Club President Farida Yesmin, Founder and Executive Director of Friendship NGO Runa Khan, Founder Director, RFS Advisory and BWCCI Nazma Jamaluddin and DRU General Secretary Mynul Hasan Sohel spoke in the function. DRU Women Affairs Secretary Marium Moni Sajuti conducted it.Farida Yesmin said the society has to change attitude for development of women.
