State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak today said a knowledge park will be set up at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University at Kotalipara in Goplaganj for research and innovation.Palak said this while visiting the proposed land for Gopalganj hi-tech park this afternoon.He said local lawmaker will lay foundation stone of research innovation and hi-tech park in the district on March 16.Presenting some good news for Gopalganj people, the state minister said Joy Digital Service and Employment Training Centers will be set up at Tungipara and Kotalipara to build the youths of Gopalganj as smart citizens and smart workforce of the smart economy of the country.Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center will be set up at Kashiani while modern smart education training and entertainment center Cineplex and a data center will be set up at Gopalganj Sadar, he said.He also announced Taka 10 lakh donation for two youth innovators Jony and Sabbir who developed two prototypes of aircraft through their five years efforts.During the visit, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority Managing Director Md. Rezaul Karim and BSMRSTU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr AQM Mahbub were present on the occasion, among others.Earlier, Palak paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at his mausoleum in Tungipara.After laying the wreaths, he stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of Bangabandhu, the architect of the independence. Fateha was offered on the occasion.Leaders of newly formed Natore district unit of Awami League and ICT Division concerned officials were present.
