Rajshahi University (RU) as the regional center of Dhaka University held the ‘C’ unit admission test today. The entry test started at 11 am till 12:30 noon.
However, 39 candidates will fight for each seat. 37 thousand 660 students have applied against 1 thousand 50 seats in the ‘C’ unit.
Admission tests are being conducted in eight divisional cities including Dhaka. 2 thousand 120 students are expected to participate in the admission test of the ‘C’ Unit of Dhaka University at Rajshahi University Centre.
This year, 37 thousand 660 students have applied against 1 thousand 50 seats in Dhaka University’s ‘C’ unit. Out of this, 930 are in the commerce branch, 95 in the science branch, and 25 are allocated to the humanities branch.
According to the entry test, Students will be evaluated based on a total of 120 marks on the admission test. Out of this, 100 marks will be given in the admission test and 20 marks will be given on the results of secondary or equivalent and higher secondary or equivalent examinations. There will be an MCQ of 60 marks and a written test of 40 marks out of 100 marks in the admission test. There will be 45 minutes allotted time for the MCQ exam and 45 minutes for the written exam.
Meanwhile, when asked about security, the proctor of the university, Asabul Haque said, “All kinds of security arrangements have been made by the university. Besides, the law and order forces are assisting us. Also, strict action will be taken against those who increase the cost of food or autorickshaw fare on campus. I hope this year’s admission test will be completed smoothly.
Moreover, March 1 (Friday) for the science unit and March 9 (Saturday) for the fine arts unit admission test dates have been fixed.
