RU Correspondent: Rajshahi University (RU) Summer and Eid-ul-Azha holidays were originally planned from May 5 to 9 and June 16 to 24. Due to concerns about the ongoing heatwave leading to potential water shortages and student difficulties, the holidays have been rescheduled.
During the adjusted holiday period, university classes and examinations will be suspended from June 9 to 27, while offices will be closed from June 9 to 25. Normal classes and exams will resume on June 30.
This unanimous decision was made during a meeting of senior administrative officers chaired by Vice-Chancellor Professor Golam Sabbir Sattar at the conference room of the Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Administration Building on Wednesday noon. The meeting was attended by Pro-Vice-Chancellors, Treasurer, Registrar, Faculty Heads, Institute Directors, and other relevant officials.
In addition, a decision made in the meeting on April 21, 2024, regarding the closure of classes on May 2, has been rescinded. Instead, departments have been granted the flexibility to conduct online teaching activities until June 6, 2024, if required.
