Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal announced this after hearing the appeal petition at Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon on Friday.
Awami League central leader Muniruzzaman Munir filed an appeal with the High Court seeking the cancellation of Shahjahan Omar’s candidature for concealing information in his affidavit.
The EC rejected his application after the hearing.
