Jamaat leader Azharul jailed for two yrs

ET Desk: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami leader ATM Azharul Islam and 10 others have been sentenced to two years of imprisonment in a sabotage case filed 14 years ago.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury on Tuesday handed down the verdict.

Adv Mujahidul Islam, lawyer of Azharul Islam, confirmed the matter after the judgement.
The case has been filed with Motijheel Police Station.
