RU Correspondent: The Executive Committee of the University of Rajshahi Reporters Unity (RURU) for the 2024–25 term has been formed. Sohag Ali, the campus correspondent of Channel 24, has been announced as the President, while Aljaber Ahmed, correspondent of Somoyer Alo, has been named General Secretary.

The announcement was made on Sunday (April 13) at 8:30 PM during the annual general meeting held at the RURU office located in the TSC (Raksu Bhaban). Outgoing President Labu Haque and General Secretary Maruf Hasan officially declared the 14-member committee.

The other members of the committee are:
Vice Presidents – Raihan Islam (Bangladesh Pratidin) and Ashia Khatun (Kholakagoj/Barta24),
Joint General Secretary – Noor Ahsan Mridul (The Daily Star),
Assistant Joint General Secretary – Mahbub Billah (The Bangladesh Today),
Treasurer – Ibtisam Shanto (Dainik Amader Shomoy),
Organizing Secretary – Alim Khan (Shomoyer Konthoshor),
Assistant Organizing Secretary – Al Fahad (Khobor Songjog),
Training Affairs Secretary – Arif Uz Zaman Korban (Padma Times),
Office Secretary – Din Islam (Dainik Jonobani),
Publicity and Publication Secretary – Tariful Islam (RTV News).

Executive Members – Insan Ali (The Daily English Times) and Nazmul Huda (Juger Konthoshor).
Additionally, outgoing President Labu Haque (Bangla Tribune) and General Secretary Maruf Hasan (Dainik Sangbad) have been appointed as advisors to the committee.
