The country is going to cross the benchmark of 30,000 MW of installed capacity in power generation pushing up the unused generation capacity by 50 percent within the current year 2023.Official sources told reporter this week that the country’s total installed electricity generation capacity currently is 28,159 including, grid and off-grid power.
According to official statistics, within the current year it will be 31,273 MW leaving over 50 percent of it idle against the existing demand of 16,000 MW.
