Staff Correspondent : JCI Bangladesh, one of Bangladesh’s national youth organizations working towards sustainable development, celebrated its unique ‘Women of Inspiration Award’ for the fifth time on Saturday, August 26. The Women of Inspiration Award honors and recognizes women who have made outstanding contributions in their field of work. JCI is a unique organization of Bangladesh with a purpose. These award-winning women are unique for their leadership qualities, outstanding dedication to their activities and inspiring countless people through their work. This year also with the same objective, JCI Bangladesh organized the 5th Women of Inspiration Award where 12 women were felicitated for their outstanding contribution in various fields. In this event, in academic field Munzerin Shaheed, Saraban Tahura Turin in Information and Communication Technology, Fadia Khan in Commerce, Farha Naz Zaman in Corporate, Rupana Chakma in Sports, Sadia Haque in Startup, Rokeya Sultana in Art and Literature, Noorun Nahar Begum in Banking, Tanzin Tisha in Entertainment, Dr. Saeba Akhtar for Medical Innovation and Dilara Zaman for Lifetime Achievement. At the event, Education Minister of Bangladesh Government Dr. Dipu Moni graced the seat of the chief guest and Swedish Ambassador to Bangladesh Alexandra Berg von Linde and Corin Henchoz Pignani, Deputy Head of the Coordination Department of the Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh were the special guests. JCI Bangladesh President Ziaul Haque Bhuiyan also spoke on the occasion. JCI’s regional advisor Ravi was also present on the occasionShankar Sathiyamurthy, JCI Bangladesh Foundation Chairperson Md Shakhawat Hossain Mamun and JCI Bangladesh Foundation Secretary General Niaz Morshed Elite. JCI Bangladesh Vice President Tasnuva Ahmed was in charge of conducting the event and JCI Bangladesh Vice President Arefin Rafi Ahmed was the convener. Along with the award-winning indomitable women, the guests and successful leading women of JCI Bangladesh were also present. They gave valuable speeches on the occasion. JCI is an international organization of young professionals and leadership locals aged 18 to 40 years. Its headquarters are located in St. Louis, Missouri, United States. At present, JCI Bangladesh with 40 local organizations and about 5000 members working in the service of society and community at the national level.
