Expatriates’ family members under intelligence surveillance

Desk Report : The country’s intelligence agencies have increased surveillance on the movements of family members of several people living abroad. It is known that the family members of those who are staying abroad to obstruct the development work of the current government and are conspiring to overthrow the government have been brought under special surveillance.

An intelligence source also said that the Bangladeshi embassies abroad have already been ordered to take legal action against them by listing them. At the same time, it is being considered to increase multi-dimensional pressure on their families living in the country, so that they can be stopped from doing sensitive work like the fall of the country’s government while living abroad. According to sources, the airports have received their photo along with bio data.

It has directed the respective ministries to take appropriate measures to cancel their citizenship in the respective countries and bring them back to the country and punish them severely by law.

In particular, the government has a special eye on those who are in close contact with the fugitive BNP Acting Chairman Tariq Rahman in London. During Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s visit to London, those who actively participated in the movement and damaged the image of Bangladesh abroad, attacked the Bangladesh Embassy and vandalized the portrait of the father of the nation, are at the top of this list.
