R U Correspondent:  Rajshahi University Teachers association organised as third days Human Chain in front of senate for Allegation of Child abuse to Deputy Chief Dr. Raju Ahmed. The Administration Temporary suspended him and decided to form a 3-member investigation committee at Sunday, Today.

In Human chains at the front of Senate Building Today, 10:00 AM demands exclude, arrest, and extreme punishment to Dr. Raju Ahmed for abusing child and spreading propaganda at early night.

Women council members, teachers, students was presented in human chain;

District Women’s Council General Secretary Anjana Sarkar said, “I also have a personal relationship with Raju Ahmed. I used to get my daughter’s dental treatment from him. Later he started calling my daughter. After I explained it to him, he stopped calling. How can he stay in the university after committing various misdeeds in the university, I want an answer from the administration. I urge the administration to take swift action to bring him to justice”.

Professor Hasibul Alam Pradhan of the Law Department said, “It is shameful for us to stand in the green Motihar area and form a human chain against crimes like sexual harassment.” Let Raju be brought to justice quickly. If he is not arrested by today, we will go on a larger agitation. According to the university policy, Raju cannot continue in the job. We will continue our agitation till Raju is not arrested.

Shafikunnabi Samadi, president of the teachers’ association, said “We have already seen that those accused of sexual harassment have been acquitted.” We will not let this happen again. We don’t want any more misdeeds by Dr. Raju. May he be permanently expelled from the university. We don’t want any more of our daughters to be oppressed. If he is not suspended by today, we will continue our agitation and if necessary we will besiege the medical center. We will continue the movement against the teachers who stand for Raju.

In addition, the faculty members of a department of Rajshahi University claimed, the 13 years child was abused by the Doctor at 30 October, Monday night.

The victim’s mother filed a case under Women and Child Abuse Prevention Act on Tuesday (October 31) morning at Boalia police station in the city. The case was confirmed by the officer-in-charge (OC) of Boalia Model Police Station Sohrawardy Hossain.

According to the statement of the case, the incident took place at Amena Clinic in Talaimari area of the city on Monday, October 30 around 8:30 am.
