Govt on right track to build Smart Bangladesh by 2041: Anisul

Staff correspondent :

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq today said the present government is on right track to attain the goal of building Smart Bangladesh.

“Although building a happy, prosperous and Smart Bangladesh by 2041 is the political pledge of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, she has a deeper connection with this as it was the dream of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to build a happy and prosperous Bangladesh. If we analyze the pace and nature of development, country’s economy, politics, social policy, etc, we would see the country is on the right track to attain its goal,” he said.

The law minister said these while addressing a video conference to inaugurate eight-storied Chief Judicial Magistrate Court building in Pirojpur this noon.

Anisul Huq said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman dreamt of such an independent and strong judiciary, where people would get speedy justice.

“Bangabandhu not only dreamt of such a judiciary, but also created a legal infrastructure for this after country’s independence. But after his brutal killing on August 15, 1975, that dream of Bangabandhu never got fulfilled because of the following military dictatorship,” the law minister further said.

Presided over by Law and Justice Division Secretary Md Golam Sarwar, the virtual function was addressed by Pirojpur-1 lawmaker SM Rezaul Karim and Pirojpur-2 lawmaker Md Mohiuddin Moharaj, among others.
