Staff Correspondent : Prominent journalist and writer Awal Chowdhury’s book “Economic Journalism” has been unveiled in New York, USA.

The book was launched on Wednesday (August 23) at 5 pm at the Noakhali Society Auditorium of Church Macdonald in Brooklyn, New York.

Mohammed Bahi, New York Mayor Office’s community affairs unit was the chief guest at the event.

General Secretary of Alliance of South Asian American Labor (ASAAL) Mohammad Karim Chowdhury, writer and columnist Shamshuddin Azad, director of ProHealth Home Care and TDS Insurance Brokerage Mamunur Rashid, journalist and community personality Professor Syed Zaheer uddin Azad, politician and social personality Saleh Ahmed Manik were present as special guests at the launching ceremony of the book.

I would say everyone should buy the book. Encourage others or the family to read this book. Because our children will know about the economy of this country and the condition of Bangladesh. A bridge of bonding will form. It is very necessary.

Journalist Awal Chowdhury said about his book, a journalist has to go through many uphill and downhill steps to prepare a report. Sometimes you have to face threats.

He further said that journalists play a major role in the nature of the economy.

This book deals in details with the beginnings and current status of economic journalism, he added.
