RU representative: A new Executive Committee of Rajshahi University Reporters Unity (RURU) has been constituted for the term 2023-24. Daily Jugantar’s university representative Labu Haque has been nominated as the president and Daily Deshantar’s university representative Maruf Hasan has been nominated as the general secretary of the committee.

After the annual general meeting at the office of Reporters Unity located in Raksu Bhavan on Wednesday (January 17) afternoon, outgoing president Shahinur Khalid and general secretary Asif Ahmed Diganto announced the 13-member committee.

Other members of the committee are Vice-President Fahim Ahmed (BDNews24), Joint General Secretary Raihan Islam (Bangladesh Pratidin), Finance-Editor Md. Sohag Ali (Channel24/ Dainik Aam Samam), Organizing Editor Mahbub Billah (The Bangladesh Today), Training Editor Amartya Roy (PadmaTimes24), Office Editor Aljaber Ahmed (Daily Bangladesh), Publicity and Publication Editor Ibtesam Shanto (NewsG24), and Reception and Culture Editor Achia Khatun (Khola Kagoz/Barta24), Planning and Program Editor Swajan Roy (Dhaka Prakash) and Sports and Culture Editor Al Fahad (Dhaka Times).

Aleem Khan (Muhurta News) is an executive member of the committee. Besides, newly departed President Shahinur Khalid and General Secretary Asif Ahmed Diganto are advisors to the Committee.

In addition, Rajshahi University Reporters Unity a active student journalist’s organisation since 2001.
