Rajshahi University held an admission test press conference

RU Correspondent: Rajshahi University (RU) Public Relations Administration held the 2023-2024 session admission test regarding a press conference at the senate building today.

March 5 to 7 2024 will held (2023-2024) session admission test in Rajshahi University. This year minimum of 2 lakh students will come to attend the admission test.

This year the total number of seats including special quota is 4 thousand 438 and the number of seats without quota is 3 thousand 904. A total of 1 lakh 85 thousand 680 final applications have been submitted against this seat. 74 thousand 785 in A unit, 34 thousand 541 in B unit, and 76 thousand 354 in C unit have been completed. This time the number of single applicants is 1 lakh 54 thousand 977. Among them, the number of male applicants is 90 thousand 456 and the number of female applicants is 64 thousand 521. However, the number of applicants excluding quota is 69 thousand 527 in A unit, 32 thousand 614 in 4 units, and 70 thousand 976 in C unit.

This year, the one-hour admission test will be conducted in MCQ format. No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall during the examination. Mobile phones, calculators, and any other electronic devices with memory cannot be kept in the examination hall. The gate of the examination building will be opened 1 hour before the start of the examination and the entrance gate of the examination room will be opened 30 minutes before the start of the examination.

The university administration is making every effort to conduct the entrance examination smoothly. Admission-examination committee and sub-committees, unit-wise committees, law and order committees under police administration, RAB, and all intelligence agencies, proctor’s office, student counselor’s office, public relations office, ICT center, transport office, and hall administration among themselves working through coordination.

The entire process including initial registration, result release, subject and hall selection, and migration will be completed online. By doing this, it will be possible to publish quick, transparent, and accurate results and above all to prevent fraud and manipulation. ICT experts at the university are working towards that goal. It should be noted that at the time of admission, each department will compare the candidate’s photos. Also, the ICT center will check the photo of the candidate while giving the original identity card issued by the university. If any inconsistency is observed in this regard then legal action will be taken against the student including cancellation of admission.
