IU correspondent: The authorities of Islamic University (IU) appointed Prof Dr. Murshid Alam of Management Department as new Provost of Sheikh Rasel Hall of the university on Saturday (20 April). This information was confirmed from an office order signed by University’s Registrar (Acting) HM Ali Hasan.
Prof Murshid Alam is replacing the outgoing Provost Professor Dr. Debashish Sharma of Economics Department, who has been relieved from the position, the office order read.
As per the press release, As Debashish Sharma’s appointment expired on Saturday (20 April) and Murshid Alam, new Provost of Sheikh Rasel Hall, has been appointed for the next year.This appointment will be effective from 21th April 2024.
Newly appointed Provost Murshid Alam said, I will try to manage the hall well by keeping an eye on all the affairs of the hall. I am normally friendly to Students. I hope, Students will stand by me to care of Dos and Don’ts of the Hall.
