The 5-day training workshop titled ‘Basic Training Program for Staff Development in Central Science Laboratory’ organized by the Central Science Laboratory of Rajshahi University (RU) has started today Sunday.

Inaugurating the training workshop at the Wazed Mia Academic Building., the Vice-Chancellor said in his speech that training is very important for acquiring skills in the workplace and using them in the practical field. He expressed hope that this training will play an important role in improving the skills of the participants. He called upon all concerned to organize more such trainings in the future.

There among others, Vice-Chancellor (Education) Prof. Md. Humayun Kabir and Acting Director of Bangladesh Science and Industry Laboratory (BCSIR). Md. Salim Khan also delivered a speech. Acting Director of Central Science Laboratory Professor Syed Mostafizur Rahman delivered the welcome speech on this occasion.

BCSIR Rajshahi Principal Scientific Officer Dr. Samina Yasmin. Two more lectures and five practical and two computer trainings will be held on the other days of the training.

13 officers and employees of various laboratories of Rajshahi University along with 6 laboratory officers and employees of BCSIR are participating in this training.

After inaugurating the training, the Vice-Chancellor visited various parts of the Central Science Lab.

Incidentally, on April 25 at noon, Vice-Vice-Chancellor (Education) Professor Md. Humayun Kabir will give certificates to the participants of this training in a function.
