Rajshahi University’s (RU) budget for the financial year 2024-2025 has been approved at Tk 518 crore and 95 lakh. This decision was made during the 532nd meeting of the University Syndicate, held at the Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Administration Building on the evening of June 30. The meeting was presided over by Vice-Chancellor Professor Golam Sabbir Sattar.
For the 2024-2025 financial year, the budget allocations are as follows:
– Research Sector: Tk 14 crore and 2 lakh
– Health and Services Sector: Tk 47 lakh
– Capital Sector: Tk 23 crore and 21 lakh
– Goods and Services Sector: Tk 84 crore and 44 lakh
– Salary and Allowances Sector: Tk 300 crore and 89 lakh
– Pension Sector: Tk 92 crore and 85 lakh
– Other Allocations: Tk 3 crore and 7 lakh
This year, the highest allocation has been given to the research sector.
