Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences of Rajshahi University has started it’s journey towards Comilla on 27 August. A group of 12 members consisting of students most of which are trained in the field of veterinary practice by ‘Rajshahi University Animal Welfare Association'(RUAWA).

The group is carrying with it fodders and medicines as well medical equipments. They hope to help the flood victims by providing food and necessary medical treatments for their domestic animals. They have already collected fund of almost 0.3Million taka from many other organizations, teachers of the faculty and the alumni.

Dr. Moizur Rahman, a Professor of Parasitology in the faculty said, ‘I pray for the soundness and wellbeing of the flood victims and the volunteers we’ve sent there, May Allah the exalted have mercy on them. We hope this little step will help the livestock sector of our country and the poor people engaged in this sector. We are animal practitioners, we must take necessary actions whenever there’s a question of the existence of animals in anywhere in the world.’
