Rajshahi University (RU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Saleh Hasan Naqib held a meeting with the Hall Provosts at the conference room of Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Administration Building today on Sunday.

In the meeting, among various issues, the draft policy regarding the provision of residence and seat allocation in the halls was finalized after discussion and selection, and a unanimous decision was taken to accept applications for the provision of residence and seat allocation through a circular in the halls from September 17.

Moreover, Any kind of lobbying or pressure, etc. in the matter of grant of residency will be considered an attempt at direct breach of discipline. The meeting also decided that there would be no so-called “political block” or any other unauthorized blocks, rooms, etc.

However, the Director of the Office of International Affairs Prof. Sajjadur Rahim, Proctor Prof. Md. among others in the meeting. Mahbubur Rahman, student advisor Dr. Amirul Islam, and the administrator of the Public Relations Department Professor Md. Akhtar Hossain Majumder was present.

Incidentally, today’s meeting was held in continuation of the two previous meetings of the Principal with the Vice-Chancellor regarding maintaining order and providing accommodation in RU’s residential halls.
