Rokeya Hall students united to demand security and seat distributions legally in front of Rokeya Hall, today(Thursday) evening.

Students say as solo gan our demand must be accepted, why there are no rules in the hall, and want security and seats legally.

Rozina Akhtar, a student in the Political Science 2019-20 session said, I was alone. Four people entered my room and were talking about political powers. Threats me very badly.

Also, At one point they closed the door of the room saying ‘Grab him, beat him’. Then I started screaming. Then the girls in the room next to me came. They kept knocking on my door and at some point, they entered the room. They threaten those sisters as they will be beaten. So where is our security? At one point we see boys entering the hall. My question is how do they get in?

Bubli Nazneen, another student of the Political Science 2019-20 session said, I was sleeping in the afternoon. Suddenly I woke up hearing a scream. Then someone came and said get up quickly Rozina was locked in the room. I went and saw that Rozina was talking alone but three or four of them were talking together. I started to air him when a sister came and said why are you putting your hands on me?

When asked about the claim, he said, “We came down from above and saw the boys coming.” Why are they original? Who told them to come?

Jui Akhtar, a student in the 20-21 session of Islamic Studies said, “We have to share seats in the common room even though we are 20-21 academic year, but many of them are 22-23 session students but they get a seat in the room. When we inform the administration, they say that because of poverty, there are three seats.” we see many others who are junior to us take seats and stay in the room.

Also, said that We demand that if more than three students are staying in the special facilities room then we will throw them out of the room and if the three who are mentioned as poor are not poor then they will have to come to the common room.

Jaoyanta Rani Basak, provost of Rokya Hall said that they have not taken any permission from us. I got to know this through you and my students. I did not see the boys enter. They are talking without understanding this matter. They demand room as they like. There is a rule in the girls’ hall. I told them that tell me what was wrong with this girl. If you can’t say it verbally, say it in writing.

Also, Those to whom I have given seat selections, (30-35 seats) are only working now. 12th is their last date. They got three seats out of those who were supposed to get seats at the request of the administration, one was of the 20-21 session who was supposed to get a seat. Two of them were only 21-22 sessions about this two such seats are given every year for the sake of poverty.

Meanwhile, the proctor and professors came and solved the issue, Sending the students inside the hall.

Asadullalh-Hil-Galib, General Secretary Student League said that As they demanded the previous day’s event, the boys entered the hall. They ask me why don’t talk with the administration about this matter. Whoever students entered must be punished after looking at the CC camera footage.
