Rubel Mia, Sarail, B Baria : A 3-day awareness raising training was held for Qazis, Imams, teachers and students to prevent child marriage, dowry, violence against women and children yesterday. The program was organized by Upazila Standing Committee on Women and Children Development in Sarail. The training was concluded in the afternoon of March 16. Earlier, on Wednesday morning, March 15, 2023 the upazila Management and development project, local government department and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) financed and implemented by Upazila Parishad was inaugurated this training workshop at Sarail Officers Club. Sarail Thana OC Md. Aslam Hossain inaugurated the workshop. Upazila Parishad Chairman Rafiq Uddin Thakur attended the program as chief guest. Upazila Women Affairs Officer Jannat Sultana chaired the program. Vice chairman Md. Abu Hanif and female vice-chairman Rokeya Begum, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sarail police station Aslam Hossain, Upazila Coordinator (UGDP) Monirul Islam, 3 medical officers of Upazila Health Complex, Qazi, Imam, teachers and students attended also.
